realize
The realize command instructs a device to select and realize its palette into the display
context of the displayed window. Digital-video devices recognize this command.
wsprintf(lpstrCommand, "realize %s %s %s", lpszDeviceID, lpszPalette,
lpszFlags);
Parameters
lpszDeviceID
Identifier of an MCI device. This identifier or alias is assigned when the
device is opened.
lpszPalette
One of the following flags:
background
| Realizes the palette as a background palette.
| normal
| Realizes the palette for a top-level window. This is the default setting.
|
lpszFlags
Can be "wait", "notify", or both. For digital-video devices, "test" can also
be specified. For more information about these flags, see The Wait, Notify, and Test Flags.
Return Values
Returns zero if successful or an error otherwise.
Remarks
Use this command only if your application uses a window handle and receives a
WM_QUERYNEWPALLETTE or WM_PALETTECHANGED message.
The following command tells the "myvideo" device to realize its palette:
realize myvideo normal
